- ★ ★ ★ ★ ★My City, My Home #3 You know you're from Saskatchewan when the best sledding hill in your area is nicknamed "Pancake Hill." My snow chariot-- that old wooden toboggan-- glides down alleys to the scraping fanfare of loose pebbles. My mother-- 80's hair hardly constrained by the robin's egg blue headband-- dutifully retrieves discarded mittens, removes snow from small boots. We slide for several minutes. I do my best to collide with sojourning sisters, supine on their sleds at the base of the hill. Joyous for several minutes until the inevitable cry, "I have to pee!"By Tyler Dewald, October 26, 2016
